An ICC-ES Evaluation Report (ESR) is a document that presents the findings, conclusions, and recommendations from a technical evaluation of a building product. These reports verify that new and innovative products comply with applicable building code requirements, such as those found in the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC).
ICC-ES ESRs also outline which code provisions or acceptance criteria were used in the evaluation, and include important information such as product identification, installation guidelines, and conditions of use.

Supplement Reports for Regional Code Compliance
An ICC-ES Supplement Report is an optional add-on to an ICC-ES ESR. While the primary Evaluation Report demonstrates compliance with model codes such as the IBC or IRC, a Supplement Report addresses additional requirements of state and local codes, including the Florida Building Code, Los Angeles Building Code, Chicago Building Code, and others.
Regional Supplement Reports help streamline the approval process across multiple jurisdictions – extending market reach and providing code officials with jurisdiction-specific documentation in one comprehensive report.
"Trust from the building community comes from knowing ICC-ES’s engineers operate with the utmost integrity."
